green with envy.

This is more green that I usually wear, but I couldn't resist.
There was just something alluring about this Bottled Green Faux Leather Jacket from Zara. The quality is so great, most people think it's real leather! It was such a steal, one of Zara's Special Priced items for the season (Always my go-to section on the site).
The green is dark enough that it goes with almost everything, but give your outfit a little more appeal than usual.

Somehow I just so happened to have also bought these kick-ass heels from Balenciaga during my trip to New York. Wore them to a conference right after I bought them; they are definitely not something I would wear to run around in. But man they make your calves look good;)

I'm super content when I add a little colour to my wardrobe amidst my black, white and neutrals.
You know, the simple things in life:)

So what am I envious about? I think we all feel envious at times, but I'm starting to appreciate more of what I have and less of what I don't [of course this does not apply to shopping:)]
I'm currently just super content to have friends that support me in my crazy ventures.

Always chasing the dream.

I'm kind of glad it's getting a bit colder, now I can finally slip on my faux furs and ponchos.
You really only need one faux fur vest [in varying colours, of course:)]; this one from CottonOn, I bought maybe a few years back and is still a staple piece in my wardrobe.
I love the length and soft gradient, blends so well with my neutrals.
But I'm also pretty obsessed with ponchos at the moment. This poncho is just one of the few in my closet. I've also had this one for awhile, but it never seemed to go out of fashion for me:)
The weight of it is perfect for this weather, gives you that subtle warmth like a hug.

Just a few weeks til my Hong Kong/Singapore trip.
I can't wait to see my friends and of course the insane shopping and food!
Every time I leave Hong Kong I feel withdrawals, it's strange how I can feel so attached to this city. It's like my second home, I can get absolutely lost in the streets but never feel alone.
Hong Kong is small, but your eyes will never be able to fully absorb everything happening around you.

Looking forward to sharing Hong Kong with everyone through my lens.

I miss summer, but to be honest I can't wait for Fall.
Not so cold that I want to go into hiding. But cool enough so I can layer up :)

Best cardigan ever purchased by far, this American Apparel Boucle Shawl Cardigan.
I was lucky enough to buy this when Groupon had that awesome $40 for $80 spending deal. What a steal!
I totally brought this up like it's a Fall item, but really I wear it all year round. It's the perfect thickness so you don't feel suffocated, but it has this length so you have coverage in case you get attacked by the wind :)

Insanely excited for yet another trip to New York this week.
Business trip, of course, but I really can't stay away from 5th Ave.

Keep your eyes out for my NYC Photo Diary.

business as usual.

I have to say I've never been one to feel too lonely.
Even when I'm on business trips, I love walking around the city by myself:)
But my first night in Chicago, was actually the first time I'd ever eaten dinner alone. I don't mean eating instant noodles at home 'alone'; I mean eating at a restaurant 'alone'.
I'm sure this isn't a big deal by any means, but it was a life experience for me.

I walked into Avec, a restaurant I scoped out for some fine eats, hoping to just slip in at the bar. Obviously on a Friday night the place was packed. Luckily, arrangements for a 'Party of 1' could easily be made. They promptly seated me at the end bar about a few centimetres away from where the hostess was standing. No complaints; at least I didn't have to wait an hour like everyone else.
So I sat there with basically just my tiny Monceau BB bag as my only companion.
I scoured the menu while diligently looking around and texting my best friend. I'm not going to say I almost hyperventilated, but the dude next to me totally gave me a wierd look.
You see, when you're a middle-aged man dining at the bar alone, people probably stare at you and think 'Hm, that guy's on business'. When they see a girl, like me, who looks like she isn't even legal to drink, they think 'wow, she must be a loner'. Okay, may be not.
But it definitely wasn't the most comfortable feeling in the world until I got lost in the food. Literally the best dates, chorizo-stuffed medjool dates to be exact, I've ever had in my life #mindblown.
And a drink or two didn't hurt.

Yup, just another adventure.

The moment I feel most at home is always when I'm back from travel. Vancouver is such a beautiful city; sometimes life just moves too fast for me to notice.

Lately my Topshop backpack has been my best travel companion. Definitely an upgrade from the one I use to wear in high school.
Also picked up this super #bomb theory blouse while I was in New York last week. Goes great with all my black essentials, including these Vera Wang ankle boots I found at Nordstrom Rack in Chicago.
Literally, the best Rack I've ever been to (the one on Michigan Ave not State street)!

Slight travel withdrawals.
