green with envy.

This is more green that I usually wear, but I couldn't resist.
There was just something alluring about this Bottled Green Faux Leather Jacket from Zara. The quality is so great, most people think it's real leather! It was such a steal, one of Zara's Special Priced items for the season (Always my go-to section on the site).
The green is dark enough that it goes with almost everything, but give your outfit a little more appeal than usual.

Somehow I just so happened to have also bought these kick-ass heels from Balenciaga during my trip to New York. Wore them to a conference right after I bought them; they are definitely not something I would wear to run around in. But man they make your calves look good;)

I'm super content when I add a little colour to my wardrobe amidst my black, white and neutrals.
You know, the simple things in life:)

So what am I envious about? I think we all feel envious at times, but I'm starting to appreciate more of what I have and less of what I don't [of course this does not apply to shopping:)]
I'm currently just super content to have friends that support me in my crazy ventures.

Always chasing the dream.

I'm kind of glad it's getting a bit colder, now I can finally slip on my faux furs and ponchos.
You really only need one faux fur vest [in varying colours, of course:)]; this one from CottonOn, I bought maybe a few years back and is still a staple piece in my wardrobe.
I love the length and soft gradient, blends so well with my neutrals.
But I'm also pretty obsessed with ponchos at the moment. This poncho is just one of the few in my closet. I've also had this one for awhile, but it never seemed to go out of fashion for me:)
The weight of it is perfect for this weather, gives you that subtle warmth like a hug.

Just a few weeks til my Hong Kong/Singapore trip.
I can't wait to see my friends and of course the insane shopping and food!
Every time I leave Hong Kong I feel withdrawals, it's strange how I can feel so attached to this city. It's like my second home, I can get absolutely lost in the streets but never feel alone.
Hong Kong is small, but your eyes will never be able to fully absorb everything happening around you.

Looking forward to sharing Hong Kong with everyone through my lens.

new york city | photo diary

The city that steals my heart every time.

New York is kind of like this never-ending story.
Every moment seems like a new chapter.
It sounds super cliche to say that I've fallen in love with this city because how can you really 'fall in love' with a mass of land. But how else can I really explain my racing heart every time I step foot into Grand Central or walk 20 blocks down 5th Ave or finally hail a cab like a true New Yorker.
This trip, like my photo diary is short, but sweet.

Although a very work-focused trip, I managed to slip away for two much needed shopping excursions.
If you've never been to Woodbury Outlets, I would highly recommend it. Probably some of my best buys to date were at the Chloe and Balenciaga outlet stores.
Honestly, you will not find the world's best customer service here because the products pretty sell itself and the sales associates have an attitude that reflects exactly that.
But if you're quite an intense shopper, like myself, you won't be phased at all.

I also ended my trip (after my meetings of course :)) with my first sample sale experience.
I'm not sure if all sample sales are as AMAZING as Club Monaco's, but Aritzia's warehouse sale could learn a thing or two.
At first when I walked in, I was pretty overwhelmed, but also taken by the lure of the 'hunt'.
You could even say I shopped the s*** out of that sale:)

But in all seriousness, there was some great shopping, but my work was the real highlight of my trip.
I organized my first Agency Dinner and really saw for the first time how far I'd come.
I'm always looking for more and reaching for the next step in my career, but for the first time I basked in the present.

Who could have guessed I'd be lucky enough to have these opportunities.
Excited for what's next.

Keep hustling.
